Product Details

The Saturn Twist pen appeals to the person who is constantly on the quest for that combination of style, class, and elegance and is unwilling to compromise on writing quality.  These are not necessarily your everyday in the purse or pocket pens.  These are fine collector grade pens that are a form of functional art designed to allow you to put to paper your truest words and thoughts.

Saturn pens have a distinctive compact clip and ringed center band. They also have a unidirectional twist mechanism and take a Cross™ style ballpoint refill.

Bear Country is a wood laminate with bright and true colors and an unmatched density making it ideal for items receiving heavy use.  Hardwood laminate is made from sheets of wood 1/16th” thick that are dyed then glued together under extreme heat and pressure.  The sheets are cut diagonally across the block to form the distinctive stripe pattern.

About Natural Designs Woodturning

Natural Designs Woodturning is a small woodworking shop in Charleston, South Carolina owned by Anna Ruggiero. Although Anna has always enjoyed working with her hands, it wasn’t until she inherited her grandfather’s 1948 Shop Smith that she was introduced to woodturning. Less than a year after taking a class at a local woodworking store she was offered a teaching position. Woodturning, which had already become her passion, also became her profession.

“I strive to make pieces that are beautiful and functional. To create a piece that is both aesthetically pleasing and useful is extremely important to me. I enjoy spendingtime in the marshes and maritime forests near my home, and am inspired by the patterns and textures in nature. Incorporating that into my work keeps me trying newthings. I also believe I have an obligation to use our natural resources wisely.”
