Americans spent around $17 billion on Valentine’s Day in 2014. is challenging consumers to buy at least one American Made gift this Valentine’s Day and their Instagram photo contest will help Americans see why it’s so important. “Our contest encourages customers to show off their most loved American Made products as well as offer up some unique gift ideas for those still searching. Not only will you show your special someone some love but by buying American Made and supporting designers, small businesses and manufactures, you’re showing your country love, as well,” says Christa Gray Page, co-founder of

The “Love Your 50ROOTS” Instagram Photo Contest will run from January 15th, 2015 until February 13th, 2015 11:59PM EST with contestants utilizing Instagram to submit photographs of themselves with a beloved Made in America item. For example, this could be a handmade scarf, a tool, or even a family heirloom. will choose their top 5 favorite photos and create a “Love My 50ROOTS” photo collage to showcase on their website.

  • All contestants must submit an original photo with the hashtags #MadeInAmerica and #LoveMy50ROOTS
  • One winner will be chosen. Whomever receives the most “likes” on their photo will be the official contest winner.
